Emmerdale spoilers follow for the latest episode on ITVX and YouTube streaming, which hasn’t aired on ITV1 yet.
Emmerdale has confirmed Billy Fletcher’s exit decision after he learned that Kev Barton was the one who attacked him at the depot and left him for dead on the floor.
Kev’s drunken confession led Billy to realise that it wasn’t Joe Tate who attacked him, and that Dawn had been lying about it in order to get him onside with her plan to leave the village.

At the start of tonight’s episode, Billy went to confront Kev and asked him to confirm that that Joe wasn’t the one who put him up to it.
Kev tried to play it off like it wasn’t planned and that Billy was just caught up in the middle of something that had nothing to do with him, but did admit that Caleb and Ruby Miligan knew about it.
Billy tried to talk to Dawn in the café but didn’t get the chance to as she was whisked away by Joe, so he went to the Miligans instead – although they only gave him feeble excuses.
“So what if it wasn’t Joe who did it? He’s still an absolute scumbag – you know what he did to me”, Caleb said, which made Billy call him a “poisonous little snake” and demanded that they keep him and Dawn out of their personal vendetta against Joe.
After a chat with Marlon Dingle in the pub, Billy decided that it was best for the truth to come out and went back to Home Farm to talk to Dawn again.

Before he could tell Dawn what he knew, she pleaded her case to him, saying: “If you’ve changed your mind Billy, I’m just gonna take these kids and go myself. I can’t have them around him a second longer.
“Look, I know we’re not together but you’re the only person I can rely on. And the kids are the same, they are so lucky to have you in their lives. So let’s get those passports. Book those tickets and go. Thank you, Billy, for giving me and the kids a second chance. Thank you.”
Billy decided not to tell her what he knew about the attack, and let her know he was 100% committed to her plan. However, Caleb and Ruby won’t be making that easy.
The episode’s final scene saw them tell Billy that they won’t be handing over the fake passports until they’ve got their revenge on Joe on the wedding day. Will Billy be able to get Dawn and the kids out of the village?
