EastEnders has shared a first look at the soap’s eventful double wedding week ahead as Kim Fox and Howie Danes as well as Cindy Beale and Max Branning are set to tie the knot amid family drama and betrayals.
Kim recently decided to bring back the ceremony to her original September date so that her sister Denise, who’s been diagnosed with blood cancer, can attend. Meanwhile, Cindy and Max brought their wedding forward, scrapping the plan of getting hitched on New Year’s Day.

As Walford is getting a double celebration early next month, EastEnders has given fans a glimpse into the two very different ceremonies, while teasing that weddings “never go to plan” on Albert Square.
A post on the soap’s Instagram page offered a look at star Tameka Empson in character as Kim.
It seems that content creator Kim is getting the fairytale wedding of her dreams as she rocks a pristine lace wedding gown with a tiara and veil. The character casually poses on a white horse right in front of the Queen Vic, with fans suggesting the shot might be referencing Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter album cover.
Meanwhile, Cindy and Max’s wedding appears to be a more muted affair, though there is no assurance that these two will actually go through with it.
While Cindy, played by Michelle Collins, also opted for a lace, long-sleeved wedding dress, Max, portrayed by Jake Wood, dons a navy suit and a cloudy expression.

“Act III… it’s the battle of the brides as Kim and Cindy respectively prepare to say ‘I do’, but this is Walford and the viewers know that weddings never go to plan…” the caption reads.
Fans know that Max has been having an affair with Priya Nandra-Hart behind Cindy’s back. While Max and Priya decided to stop seeing each other after Ravi Gulati proposed, she’s keeping her pregnancy a secret from both her lovers.
In recent scenes, Priya took a DNA test to find out who’s the father of her baby, enlisting the help of Jean Slater to get a sample from Max.
It was confirmed that Max is the father – will this bombshell revelation cast a shadow on his big day with Cindy? And will the affair be exposed?
EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
