Emmerdale airs emotional Joe Tate scenes this weekend as he struggles to process everything that’s happened on his disastrous wedding day.
The ITV soap has been airing huge episodes all week – and it’s not over yet, as the drama continues in a rare Sunday edition.

At the hospital, Joe and Dawn keep a close eye on their newborn son, watching through the window as important medical checks are carried out on him.
Joe can’t help reflecting on Jimmy King’s tragic death – and how those left behind should focus on living life to the fullest.
“We were the lucky ones,” Joe tells Dawn. “We owe it to Jimmy to make this work – you and me.”
Expressing his love for their baby as they both watch from afar, he adds: “That’s our future in there – and he needs us to be spectacular.
“We are going to surround him with so much safety and so much love. It really gets to you, doesn’t it? All of a sudden you’ve just got this little person that you’re responsible for.”

Meanwhile, Dawn still seems to be struggling with her guilt as she once again expresses her regret for trying to flee from the village just hours earlier.
The couple are trying to move forward after Dawn realised that Caleb and Ruby Miligan had manipulated her into turning against Joe, while Billy Fletcher concealed the truth about his attack.
“I’m just so sorry I ever thought I could take that [our baby] away from you,” says Dawn.
With Dawn determined to draw a line under recent events, will she get the fresh start at Home Farm that she’s hoping for?
Emmerdale aired Nick Miles’ final scenes as Jimmy this week, as the popular character lost his life after mysteriously crashing into Joe and Dawn’s wedding marquee in the grounds of Home Farm.

“It’s strange to be leaving, as Emmerdale has been a huge part of my life since I joined in 2004,” Nick said last night.
“I’ve always known that being a King meant Jimmy was a precarious character, so while the news was shocking, it makes sense.
“I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunities the show presented and the life it has given me.”
He added: “The final filming days were tough but beautifully written. We spent an entire day shooting an intense dream sequence, and I’m thrilled with such a lovely exit. I took a few items to remember my time, including my dressing room star and my suit, which costume kindly let me keep.”
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 8pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
