Barbara Palvin stunned fashion fans as she took to the runway at this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show just six weeks after giving birth.

The new mom, 33, who welcomed a daughter in September with husband Dylan Sprouse, wowed as she strutted down the catwalk in Los Angeles, California, on Sunday.

So how exactly did she achieve her enviable postpartum physique?

Palvin has previously discussed her diet and fitness routines over the years, which are likely to have played a part in her stunning return to the spotlight.

Before her wedding in July 2023, the Hungarian-born model turned to the keto diet  – a high-fat, moderate-protein and very-low-carbohydrate eating plan that forces the body to use fat as its primary source of fuel.

‘I did the keto diet with Dylan and my sister [before tying the knot].

‘It’s a lot of things I love – meat, fat and not much dairy but heavy cream and cheese,’ she told Harper’s Bazaar.

Palvin told the outlet that the couple would also work out together at their home gym.

Elsewhere in 2023, she shared that while Sprouse, now 34, worked out every day, her routine was a little less frequent.

‘I’m trying to do better and do that with him, but I’m a little lazy,’ she told People, before adding: ‘Anytime I work out, I move every body part.’

But her relaxed attitude to fitness is not necessarily the same before a high-profile event.

Back in 2018, Palvin staggered fans when she revealed that she had prepared for that year’s Victoria’s Secret show by hitting the gym a whopping ten times a week.

She gave Vogue Australia insight into what a ‘day off’ looks like for the long-time angel.

In the short video filmed before the event, Palvin woke up at 7am, got dressed and headed straight to her gym – Dogpound – where fellow models like Ashley Graham, Karlie Kloss and Romee Strijd also work out.

‘When there’s an important job, like I’m doing the Victoria’s Secret Show, I’ll go to the gym like 10 times a week, which is very, very heavy on my body, but that’s why I have a personal trainer,’ she said at the time.

Her exercise regime included donkey kicks, lunges and rope exercises.

Is it healthy or realistic for new moms to aim for runway-ready bodies just weeks after giving birth?

However, the brunette beauty previously expressed that her exercises of choice would be yoga and hiking – rather than the gym.

It was during the coronavirus pandemic that her love of walking outdoors really developed.

She told Who What Wear in 2021 that being ‘off the grid’ helped her reconnect with nature.

‘I’ve realized that being outdoors is great for my mental health.

‘Now, I try to go outside more, go on a hike, work out, do my self-care routines as regularly as possible,’ Palvin said at the time.
