Disney has given fans a first look at Frozen 3 ahead of the film’s release. Announced by former Disney boss Bob Iger in February 2023, the threequel was given an official release date a year later, with Disney confirming it will hit cinemas on 24 November 2027.
So far, Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff, and Josh Gad have all been confirmed to reprise their respective roles as Anna, Elsa, Kristoff and Olaf the snowman. Trent Correy, meanwhile, is new to the franchise as co-director.
Images of a cardboard display from Disney’s D23 Expo have now been shared, offering the first look at the characters in the upcoming film. Anna and Elsa are both sporting new looks, while Kristoff, Olaf and Sven appear to be dressed up for a formal event, complete with bowties.

With the display on show at the D23 Expo show floor, there will likely be an announcement or a more in-depth first look during tonight’s Disney panel, but whether it is released online remains to be seen.
Earlier this year, Gad, Olaf’s voice actor, confirmed that Bobby Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez would return to write the songs for the threequel. Speaking to Good Morning America, he called the tunes “incredible” and “unbelievable”.
The actor also teased fans about what they can expect from the long-awaited animation, with the star recalling that he was “laughing” his “butt off” as he called it the “funniest” instalment of the trilogy so far.
Gad had previously opened up about voicing Olaf, and even detailed what he would have done differently if he could turn back time, noting: “If I could do it all over again, I would not have lent that snowman my voice. I would’ve created a different voice.”

“It’s very weird being in a supermarket and having a little child [slowly turn their head and look at you]. That was my first big mistake,” he quipped.
“But people tell me I have a very unique voice. People seem to like my voice, so I try to give it to them when I can,” added the star.
Frozen 3 will hit cinemas on 24 November 2027.
