The plan is for them to leave while Joe is on his stag do and tell the kids they’re going on holiday.
But a preview clip for Tuesday’s episode (18 August) show that the couple are going to hit a snag in their plan.
Billy and Dawn are anxiously talking in Home Farm while waiting for Joe to leave on his stag do. Joe then appears and Dawn tells him she’s taking the kids out tonight instead of going for drinks with the girls.

Feeling guilty, Joe offers to cancel his stag do and take her out instead but Dawn insists on him going. Graham then appears from upstairs to take Joe away, but did either of them hear Dawn and Billy’s plotting?
Further spoilers for next week have shown that Joe will insist on a ‘sten do’ with Dawn taking part in a clay pigeon shoot and aiming her gun at her husband-to-be.
Our village source previously shared: “Dawn wants an easy way out. She sees red, still believing that Joe was responsible for Billy’s attack and deserves payback. He’s a slippery character who gets away with everything, but this time, Dawn wants him to suffer.”

But what Dawn doesn’t know is that Joe wasn’t the one who attacked Billy.
Our source added: “Dawn’s suffocating at the thought of being trapped with Joe. She can see herself married and tied to him at Home Farm forever, and the thought scares her. She still believes he attacked Billy, and that was her final straw after a long line of second chances.”
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 8pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
