Coronation Street’s Jodie Ramsey faces a new problem next week, as her father Doug returns and clearly disapproves of her behaviour.
Show bosses are bringing back Steve Evets for more episodes as Doug, who was introduced as Jodie and Shona’s dad back in February.

Next week, things seem to be going Jodie’s way as she discovers another secret that she can use as leverage.
As Jodie struggles with being rejected by Kit Green, she spitefully lets herself into Sarah’s flat.
While snooping around, she hears Kit and Bethany chatting, so takes cover and listens in to their private conversation. And what she hears shakes her to the core…
Over at the salon, Bethany is spooked when Jodie turns up for a manicure, and even more so when she reveals that she’s going to see Sarah. In the prison visiting room, Jodie apologises to Sarah for attacking her earlier in the year, before declaring that there’s something she should know.
When Bethany next visits her mum, will Sarah know all about the secret her daughter and Kit have been keeping?

Later, unhappy that Jodie has been stirring things by visiting Sarah, Bethany calls at No. 8 to hash things out. However, Jodie ends up with a much bigger problem on her hands when her estranged dad Doug appears at the door!
It’s far from a flying visit, as Doug later catches Jodie at the café, where she’s stringing along a mum who wrongly identified her as Shona. True to form, Jodie gives her dad a fake excuse about what she’s up to – but will Doug believe her?
Afterwards, Shona is baffled to cross paths with Doug, who vows that he’s taking medication for his bipolar disorder and wants to fix their relationship.
