When it comes to buying a mattress, it pays to invest, as a high-quality design can improve sleep quality and support the shoulders, neck, and back. But with many of the best options costing upwards of £1,000, finding a good deal is often easier said than done.
That’s why a current sale at Bensons for Beds is turning heads. The retailer has slashed prices across a range of mattresses from Simba Sleep – and in some cases, the discounts are even better than buying direct.
For instance, a double-sized Simba Hybrid Essential mattress is now £584.99, down from £649.99. And, as mentioned, it’s cheaper than the price listed on Simba’s website, where the same size is £649.

The Hybrid Essential features Simba’s signature Aerocoil spring layer to minimise partner disturbance (a major plus for light sleepers) alongside a five-zoned responsive foam base that offers targeted support for key pressure points like the hips and shoulders. As with all Simba Sleep mattresses, it has a medium-firm feel, designed to suit a wide range of sleepers and promote better overall sleep quality.
The Essential has had some great reviews from shoppers, with one sharing: “Finally, after years of struggling, I finally found a mattress that can support my back properly, and I can wake up without any cramps! I was a bit worried that the Essential line might not be enough, but even the most budget one is premium quality.”

The Simba Hybrid Essential mattress gives sleepers access to the best of both worlds, with springs and the comfort of foam.
Meanwhile, a second shared: “Cannot praise this mattress enough for getting the best night’s sleep I have had in a long time, would highly recommend.”
However, someone noted that the mattress was ‘too firm for them.’ For those sensitive to pressure and would prefer a softer mattress, TEMPUR’s Pro SmartCool Soft Mattress (£1,543, Furniture Village) or My Next Mattress’ Triple Soft Mattress (£449) may be better options.
At Bensons for Beds, the Hybrid Essential isn’t the only deal worth noting. A double-sized Simba Hybrid Pro mattress is now £647.99, down from £1,199.99, saving shoppers £552. That’s once again undercutting Simba’s own website, where the same mattress retails for £1,119.

The Hybrid Pro stands out for its clever construction, combining layers of foam and springs to create a restful, cradled feel without trapping heat. The result is a balance of cushioning comfort and breathability, ideal for those who want support without overheating through the night.
Like the Essential, the Pro is also a hit with shoppers, with many praising its comfort, support and temperature regulation. This happy fan said: “Great mattress, perfect for couples. No rolling together and no disturbance from each other’s movements. Comfortable yet firm, all in all great value for money and a great night’s sleep.”
Meanwhile, another added: “Totally different feel from my previous spring mattress, but after a few nights, I now absolutely love it, it’s like sleeping on a cloud.”
However, someone else noted: “The mattress turned out to be too soft for me.” But on a brighter note, this Hybrid Pro devotee said: “I’m on the heavier side, and this gives me the perfect amount of support. I no longer wake up with a stiff back or hips.”
