Sherlock Holmes adaptation Elementary has landed a new UK streaming show. The US series, which is a modern take on the iconic detective, originally ran between 2012 and 2019. UK-based fans wanting to catch the show can now do so via U, with all seven seasons available to stream on the site.
Originally airing on CBS in the US, Elementary sees Jonny Lee Miller play Sherlock, a former London-based detective who relocates to New York City after a stint in rehab. There, he’s forced to live with sober companion Dr Joan Watson (Lucy Liu) before they investigate crimes.
The series, described as a “modern-day Sherlock Holmes” by U, has largely received praise from fans. One on IMDb also called it a “modern adaptation of Sherlock Holmes” which “brings a refreshing twist to the classic detective tale”.
