The new studio and wellbeing space, which is being opened by Swindon business owner Claire Robinson, is based at Unit 61 in BSS House on Cheney Manor.
Claire has previously had a 30-year corporate career, but says she wanted to open the LYFE Power + Pilates Studio to create something that was “missing from the local community.”
After leaving her job, she retrained as a qualified pilates and fitness instructor and set out to build a studio that she claims prioritises community, inclusivity and confidence over ‘aesthetics’.

“I realised there was a gap,” she explained.
“So many women wanted to move their bodies but didn’t feel traditional gyms were for them. LYFE exists to change that.
“Pilates really is for everyone. You don’t need a fitness background, you don’t need confidence walking into a gym, and you don’t need to look a certain way.
“I wanted to create a space where women feel welcome from the moment they walk through the door.”

The new studio has been designed in collaboration with local creatives and graffiti artists, with merchandise produced by Swindon business The Little Grey Company.
The new Cheney Manor studio will open to the public in January 2026, with a private ‘behind-the-scenes’ look taking place on January 2.
The business’s website describes the new studio as a place “built for women who’ve lost their mojo somewhere between the school run and the laundry pile.”
