Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street’s Lisa Swain fights for a future with Carla Connor this week, but it’s clearly going to be an uphill struggle after so much drama with evil Becky. Now that Becky’s true colours have finally been exposed, there’s no easy way forward for Lisa and Carla.
Monday’s episodes, which incorporated the epic Corriedale crossover event, saw Carla finally freed by Kit Green after several days being held captive by Becky. After the carnage of the multi-vehicle crash on a remote road, Becky got her long-awaited comeuppance as Lisa arrested her for her many crimes.
In Tuesday’s follow-up scenes, Carla and Lisa return home to No.6 – supported by Ryan Connor after the dramatic events on the road. Lisa’s daughter Betsy is first to address the elephant in the room, blaming herself for not believing Carla’s claims about Becky.
Next it’s Lisa’s turn to speak, as Carla has an important question to ask…

“Carla wants to know whether Becky was telling the truth when she claimed to have slept with Lisa,” our Corrie source explains. “If Lisa tells all, it’ll be heartbreaking for Carla to know what was going on in her absence.
“Afterwards, Carla heads out and surveys the memorial flowers which have been left outside Billy Mayhew’s flat following his death. Fortunately, Carla’s loyal friend Roy isn’t far away as he approaches and slips a comforting arm around her. Whatever happens, Carla’s friendship with Roy will remain strong!”
Later in the week, Lisa confides in her police colleague Kit Green about how she got the situation with Becky so terribly wrong.
Lisa laments the fact that she was taken in by Becky’s manipulation so easily – and may now have lost Carla forever.

This prediction seems bang on the money, as Lisa soon returns home to find Carla packing her things.
“Lisa’s horrified and begs Carla for another chance,” our spy continues. “She makes it very clear that she wants to be with Carla and massively regrets letting Becky back into her life.
“Keen to prove herself, Lisa even vows to visit Becky in prison to tell her the same thing.”
When Lisa comes face-to-face with Becky in the jail’s visiting room, she vows that she never wants to see her again and hopes that she rots during her time inside. But does Becky still have one last card to play?
Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
