Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale’s Paddy Dingle faces even more turmoil next week, as he frantically tries to track down his missing dad Bear Wolf. As the village reels from a devastating chain of events, Bear’s whereabouts remain unknown.
The former wrestler’s loved ones are left wondering whether he will ever be found – although viewers know that Celia Daniels boasted about killing him, shortly before she was murdered herself.
“The community are left horrified as they discover the truth about Celia and Ray’s vile operation,” our Emmerdale insider reveals. “But worst of all is the realisation that Bear has been held at the farm as a forced worker for months.
“Paddy is left devastated when he learns about his poor dad’s ordeal, but Paddy’s nightmare really is far from over…”

With Bear still not accounted for in the aftermath of Ray’s shocking death, the search for the vulnerable man continues. Celia told Ray that she’d got rid of Bear for good, but Ray seems to be taking that secret to the grave as his own mysterious demise has now been revealed on screen.
Tragically, the investigation into Bear’s whereabouts starts to look futile, and no one is holding out much hope.
Faced with the prospect of never seeing his dad again, especially after falling out with him before he left the village, Paddy is feeling desperately sad. He tries to distract himself and keep busy, but he’s far from alone during this terrible time.
“Paddy’s loved ones come together and rally around him as he waits for news about his missing father,” explains our spy. “Lovely Lewis steps up and attempts to comfort Paddy – but he accidentally says the wrong thing and just makes him even more upset.”

But as Lewis apologises to Paddy, what neither of them notices is a mysterious section of newly disturbed soil next to Anya’s secret grave in the field. Has another body been buried next to Anya – and if so, could it be Bear?
Paddy heads home in pieces, and this time Rhona Goskirk, Marlon Dingle and Jai Sharma reach out to check on their friend. However, their attempts at sympathy are suddenly interrupted when Jai is taken in for questioning about Ray’s murder.
The next day, Dylan Penders decides to offer Paddy a helping hand. After all, the teen saw Bear at the farm several weeks ago, and he and April Windsor had to be reassured by Paddy that what happened to him wasn’t their fault.
As the pair prepare to head out and search for Bear, Lydia, Sam and Belle arrive with another issue on their minds…
“The Dingles are totally stunned by recent events, and the topic of conversation is Jai being taken in by the police,” reveals our spy. “The question of who killed Ray remains, but what about Bear’s fate?”
Emmerdale is working on Bear’s storyline alongside The Salvation Army and Unseen. Further help, support and resources relating to the issue of modern slavery are available on the charities’ websites.
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 8pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
