Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Former Emmerdale star Jurell Carter has spoken up after Nate Robinson made one final appearance this week. The star’s character was killed off screen in 2024 by John Sugden, with fans learning the truth about his fate last year.
While his frozen corpse was seen at the bottom of the lake, it was confirmed that John had injected him with a lethal dose of drugs after being beaten up by father Cain.
Evil John met his own demise this week during the Corriedale crossover, with sister Victoria seen standing over his corpse.
As part of the storyline, fans were shown a flashback to Nate’s own death at the hands of John, and Jurell has now responded to his brief cameo.
Taking to his Instagram Stories with a picture of himself in character as Nate alongside John (Oliver Farnworth), the actor wrote (via Manchester Evening News): “I heard Nate made an appearance this week.

“Only right I put a throwback up with his killer [heartbreak emojis]…, he added, before teasing: “Nate’s gone but I filmed on two projects in 2025 so I’ll be back on your screens this year and also maybe on your big screen in 2027.”
Meanwhile, following his own Emmerdale departure, Oliver has spoken about his regret over his exit, admitting he would’ve loved to stay on indefinitely.

“To do the story and the character justice, it’s important villains get their comeuppance – that’s what people like to see,” he told the Daily Star.
“For me, personally, I wanted to stay at Emmerdale forever. I loved it there. So selfishly, I would say I wish he hadn’t been killed off.”
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 8pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
