The Traitors gave fans one of its most explosive weeks ever, as Fiona was revealed as the Secret Traitor, then proceeded to cause absolute chaos by accusing fellow Traitor Rachel of lying about Amanda’s private police confession in front of everyone. Then, after her plan massively backfired and she was banished, Matthew asked the Traitors if he could be recruited next!

It was made all the more better on Uncloaked when Fiona said that she knew Rachel was telling the truth about Amanda, but just wanted to take her fellow Traitor down a peg as she saw her as a threat.

The whole drama will certainly go down in The Traitors UK history as one of the all-time biggest jaw-droppers, but it’s got us thinking about other big moments from the show.

We’ve gone back through the seasons so far to look at five of the most shocking moments from seasons 1-3 (no Celebrity version here).

Where do you think Fiona’s chaotic plan ranks?

Tom reveals Alex is his girlfriend – season 1

Kieran’s ‘parting gift’ may be more iconic and controversial, but this ranks for sheer ‘why do it?’ factor.

Alex was coming under suspicion at breakfast, so Tom stood up and revealed that they were a couple, causing the room to go into meltdown. It didn’t do him any favours as he was banished soon after, and Alex could have been a Traitor anyway (she wasn’t, as they murdered her, but still).

Diane reveals Ross is her son – season 2

Another case of contestants already knowing each other, but with some crucial differences. If you were going to assume anyone in the castle was Diane’s kid, it’d be fellow redhead Paul, which is exactly what people did.

No-one saw the link to Ross coming, and the absolute glee with which Diane delivered her pause before saying “but Ross is” rightly earned the show a BAFTA nomination.

The Seer power uncovers a Traitor – season 3

The third season introduced a game-changing prize ahead of the finale, as Francesca earned the power to choose one player and confirm which team they’re playing for — and she chose Traitor Charlotte.

The potential consequences were huge, and in this case it led to an argument between Francesca and Charlotte at breakfast and the group banishing both of them just to be sure, leading to a Faithful win. If the Seer is included in season 4, how could it affect the game?

The final round table and Harry’s victory – season 2

Oh Mollie. Poor Mollie. Jaz tried so hard to convince her that Harry had been playing her all along, and she even wrote his name down for banishment at first. But she changed it at the last second, ensuring a Traitor victory.

But then it came to the moment where Harry had to reveal to his best friend in the competition that he had been stabbing everyone in the back the entire game, and was now doing the same to her. Even Harry felt devastated, although the £95,000 probably made things easier.

Charlotte lies to Freddie about Leanne’s shield – season 3

More Traitor-on-Traitor betrayal here, although this time it was a lot sneakier. Charlotte recruited Freddie to be her fall guy, and wasted very little time in setting him up.

She convinced him to murder Leanne, fully aware that Leanne would walk into breakfast the next morning due to her shield. As Freddie had no idea, it was easy to get him banished at the round table and make Charlotte look like the ultimate Faithful going into the final… if only it wasn’t for that pesky Seer.

We’re halfway through the current season now, and so much has happened already. Fans complained that the Secret Traitor revealed happened too early, and then the show followed up on that with… well, see above.
