Eagle-eyed fans of The Traitors are convinced that they have worked out another huge twist that’s looming on the horizon – and it is all to do with those pesky little envelopes that the axed players open on Uncloaked.
If there is one thing that has got us hooked as much as The Traitors this series, it is the show’s brilliant spin-off series. The half-hour episodes see comedian Ed Gamble chatting to various Traitors alumni, celebrity fans and former players, getting their take on what happened in the latest episode of the main show.
But the best bit of every episode is seeing the moment the banished or murdered players find out the true identity of the Traitors from a handy envelope that has been placed next to them on a table.
There are few things more satisfying to watch on TV than the players finding out the truth, especially when Harriet recently opened the envelope to realise that her theory about Rachel being a Traitor was right on the money.
However, fans have spotted that a second sealed envelope always sits frustratingly unopened underneath the first. Not only that, but the camera always seems to linger longer than necessary on said envelope… but why?

Fans have taken to social media to vent their frustration over the fact that we never get to see anyone open the second mystery envelope.
“What is this second envelope which keeps appearing on Uncloaked?! Is there ANOTHER secret or twist in the series…?” said one viewer on X.
Another added: “So many things as yet unexplained in The Traitors. Not least the significance of the mysterious 2nd envelope when the Traitors are revealed to the banished and murdered players after they leave the game. More twists incoming.”
“Are we all just going to ignore the second envelope that’s never opened at every reveal?” wrote another fuming fan.
Someone else wrote: “WHAT IS IN THE SECOND ENVELOPE WE NEVER GET TO SEE ON UNCLOAKED!!!!”
It is very likely that there is something secret hidden in the envelope – something huge that will be revealed at a later date on the show. This could spell big drama for the show if this particular fan theory is correct.

Or, have we all got too invested in this game of lying and treachery that we are reading too much into an innocent piece of stationery?
While most of the time the envelope goes unopened on Uncloaked, there has been one time that we have seen someone read it.
The second episode of the spin-off show saw Netty open the extra envelope with Judy. This time, the envelope revealed the secret that Judy and Roxy are mother and daughter. But is that what is written in everyone’s second envelope? Or could there be something extra hiding in there, just waiting to be revealed?
One thing is for sure, this series of The Traitors has been packed with more twists and turns than ever before… so if that lingering camera shot on an envelope is anything to go by, we are in for a treat!
