The Traitors UK season 4 has stuck to a regular schedule for the last two weeks — 8pm on the dot on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday — but that’s changing slightly for the finale, and the bad news is we’re going to have wait even longer to see who takes home the prize money.

The good news is that it’s only an extra half hour wait, and it’s an extended episode.

The Traitors season 4 finale will start at 8.30pm on Friday, 23 January on BBC One and run for 75 minutes, rather than the usual 65. A longer edition of The Traitors: Uncloaked follows at 9.45pm.

That pushes BBC News at Ten back to 10.30pm, while The Graham Norton Show won’t start until 11.10pm.

Would I Lie to You? is still being shown right before The Traitors, with an 8pm start, while Amanda & Alan’s Greek Job is being moved to 7.30pm instead of following on from Uncloaked.

James’ plan to sneakily take a shield led to a load of suspicion on him, only for him to evade banishment.

And then there was the murder of dear, sweet Jessie…

Finale week will kick off with a round table twist, as one player has been selected by the Traitors to have two votes instead of one.

What else has the show got in store before the final credits roll? We’ve no idea, and we’re as excited as everyone else to find out.

Just remember not to be sat down with your popcorn/tea/wine/assorted snacks ready for 8pm on Friday, as you’ll be too early.

In the meantime, you can read Digital Spy’s chat with multiple former contestants about how people’s jobs factor into their success or failure in the game.

The Traitors season 4 continues Wednesday, 21 January at 8pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
