Fans of The Hunting Wives better brace themselves for a shocking season 2 as star Brittany Snow teased someone will die in the new instalment.
Netflix’s Texas-set series stars Snow as Sophie O’Neil, a woman swept up into the world of socialite Margo (Malin Akerman) and her clique, the titular Hunting Wives.
As Sophie starts feeling attracted to Margo, the group gets involved in a suspicious death when a teenage girl is found dead in the woods where they meet.
An adaptation of May Cobb’s novel, The Hunting Wives premiered last July and was renewed in September for a second chapter. Now, Snow said the upcoming series will “top” the first season.
“Every script is a new adventure. They said that we couldn’t top last year and somehow I think we are doing it,” she told Entertainment Tonight.

The whodunit is Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, where it holds a critics’ rating of 80% out of 30 reviews. Hailed as “perfect trash” (via The Guardian), the soapy series has been described as “silly”, “raunchy” (via NPR) and “eminently watchable” (via Autostraddle).
The Hunting Wives season 1 is streaming on Netflix now. A second season has been confirmed.
