Good news for fans of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms! The next episode of the Game of Thrones prequel series will release early this week to avoid clashing with Super Bowl Sunday.
An adaptation of the Tales of Dunk and Egg series of novellas by George RR Martin, who co-created the series with Ira Martin, the HBO drama is set roughly a century before the events of the original Westeros hit show.
This week, episode four of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, titled ‘Seven’, will have an early streaming release.
While the episode will still air on HBO on Sunday, 10 February at 10pm, it will also drop on HBO Max in the US at 00.01am PT on 6 February. That’s 08:01am for UK viewers, who will be able to watch the new episode on Sky and NOW TV.
The series stars Peter Claffey and Dexter Sol Ansell as Dunk aka Ser Duncan the Tall and his loyal squire, ‘Egg’, with the duo embarking on an adventure through the Seven Kingdoms.

The first instalment will be followed by an already confirmed season 2, expected to release at some point next year.
While season 1 adapts the first novel in the Dunk and Egg saga, 1998’s The Hedge Knight, subsequent chapters are expected to be inspired by the only two other published books in the series, 2003’s The Sworn Sword and 2010’s The Mystery Knight.

Meanwhile, Parker, co-creator and showrunner of the prequel series, has revealed that Martin has 12 more stories in store for Dunk and Egg, though there is no indication as to when fans will actually get to read them, let alone watch them on screen.
The current season is comprised of six episodes, with the season finale set to air on 22 February. As for episode 4, the synopsis teases that the title, ‘Seven’, refers to an epic trial by combat awaiting Dunk, who must find six warriors to join him in battle.
Cast for the series is rounded out by The Gentlemen’s Daniel Ings, along with Bertie Carvel, Sam Spruell, and Finn Bennett.
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is available to watch on Sky Atlantic and Now in the UK. In the US, the series airs on HBO and HBO Max.
