Emmerdale’s Joe Tate has made an absolute blunder in the latest episode, but has he really ruined things with Dawn Fletcher for good, or can he salvage his relationship? Tonight’s episode saw Joe sitting down with Lucas Taylor to watch “the greatest film of all time: Back to the Future”, as Dawn and Gabby Thomas looked on and discussed Joe’s ‘well-hidden’ likable qualities.
Graham Foster walked in and noted that Joe used to watch the same film when he was 14. He said it had been his favourite film ever since, and that Joe was “pretty lonely” in his youth.
Dawn returned later in the day and told Joe that she had something important to tell him.
“I think I might be pregnant”, she revealed, leaving him stunned and silenced. “I’ve not done a test or anything yet, it’s just my period’s late and I’m usually like clockwork so, I just assumed.”

“That’s amazing!” he shrieked as he gave her a massive hug, but her look to the side hinted that she wasn’t as over the moon as he was…
Joe later told Graham about the news, revealing that it was a surprise to him as he was taking immuno-suppressants and was a “happy mishap”.
“I love being a stepdad so much more than I thought”, he said, adding, “but this is, this is different, you know? A Tate. Mine.”

Dawn walked in on the two, and sensing that she wasn’t impressed, Graham left the two alone.
When Dawn asked if Joe had told Graham, he said that he tells his father figure “everything”. She replied that she wished he hadn’t, as she wasn’t even sure if she was pregnant, or if she even wants another child.
As she stormed out, Joe was left reeling. Has his rush to tell Graham driven a wedge between them?
