Next week on Casualty, Kim and Matty’s mistake could threaten the future of the hospital during an important reinspection. Meanwhile, Teddy and Jacob clash over Ashley, and Siobhan gets shocking news about her attack.
As the show returns after a week-long break, here is our round-up of all the biggest moments coming up in the latest episode of the current boxset, ‘Learning Curve’.
1. Kim threatens her health
BBC
Kim continues to push herself to her limit and chooses to jog into work. Struggling with her eating disorder, she makes herself sick and is later pleased about a notification that says she has hit 500% of her daily movement goal.
But when her vision starts to blur while treating patients, Kim is worried about whether she will make it safely to the end of her shift.
2. Matty moves forward
BBC
After revealing to Matty that he is his biological dad, Dylan assumes that the resident will want to change mentors. But Matty is happy to pretend that he never dropped that bombshell and carry on as normal, calling Dylan a ‘perfectly adequate mentor’. Matty later tells Kim that he hasn’t told his mum about Dylan.
While Matty continues to work well under Dylan’s supervision, Dylan is purposely detached, not wanting to get too close to his son.

3. Flynn makes a good impression
BBC
Flynn believes that the CQC aren’t coming for the reinspection today, so gets a shock when Ceri arrives in the evening after consultants Stevie and Dylan have left. However, things get off to a good start, and Ceri is impressed by the changes Flynn has made to the ED since her last visit.
Later, while assisting with a patient, Ceri has a flashback to when she last worked in an ED during COVID, but she tries not to show vulnerability.
4. Teddy and Jacob clash
BBC
While on shift together, Teddy and Jacob argue, with Teddy angry that Jacob made a complaint against Ashley for arresting his son Blake. Jacob stands by what he did, but Teddy makes it clear to his colleague that Ashley isn’t racist.
The pair begin to make amends after they work well together on a callout. Teddy then tells Ashley that Jacob will drop the complaint if she apologises to him – but will the situation really play out like this?
5. Kim and Matty mess up
BBC
Kim suggests to Matty that they team up for the rest of the shift, while the CQC are watching. The residents treat a patient with a head injury, and Matty is keen to perform a lumbar puncture – but with Flynn busy with Ceri, he is confident that they can perform the procedure without supervision.
As Matty takes the lead, Kim reads out the instructions for him on her phone, but her vision worsens and she can’t see the information properly. Kim accidentally gives Matty the wrong orders, so what will this mean for the patient and for the inspection?
6. Siobhan is blindsided
BBC
Siobhan is told that the police have made an arrest as her rapist’s DNA was found on her uniform.
But DI Hughes later reports that the suspect, Chris, was a patient – and Cam realises that he asked Siobhan to treat him when he was in the ED. Could this undermine the evidence, and will Siobhan get justice?
Casualty airs on Saturday nights on BBC One and now streams first on BBC iPlayer, where episodes are released at 6am on the day of transmission.
