EastEnders actor Isabella Brown’s future on the BBC One soap has been clarified, after fans wondered if she had left the role of Lexi Pearce after playing her since 2018.
The character has been seen in the last few months putting together a short film with Nigel Bates, and dealing with Callum Highway’s new relationship with Johnny Carter, and it looks like she isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
Isabella’s musical theatre school KA Arts shared an Instagram post over the weekend confirming that the young star is contracted on the soap for quite a while, and looks like she might have even more big scenes on the way.

“We are so proud of our incredibly talented Isabella, who has been confirmed to continue playing the role of #Lexi in @bbceastenders for the 8th consecutive year,” the post reads.
“Isabella is heading into an extremely busy filming period, yet is still committed to her training and school studies.”
Recent scenes saw Lexi learn that Jay Brown, who was married to her mum Lola and left the Square last year (a result of actor Jamie Borthwick being axed from the soap), is expecting a child with his new girlfriend, and that she’ll be a “big sister”.
While Lexi said she was excited to go and visit Jay, she admitted that she wished things could return to the way they were a few years ago.

Meanwhile, Isabella’s on-screen mum Danielle Harold, who left EastEnders in 2023, recently stated that she’s done with acting on soaps.
“It’s not that [I’m too loyal to EastEnders]. It’s just more, it’s so hard work”, she said. “Soap is… actors in soap, oh my gosh, take my hat off. Like, it’s such a hard job. And, yeah, I like the freedom a little bit of being able to move from job to job.”
EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
