Exercising and keeping fit has become a global obsession. Lifting weights, squat challenges, Hyrox races, personal best runs. And now a new trend has emerged from Japan – interval walking.

Interval walking or Japanese walking has been growing legs on TikTok. Users are hailing it as a way to “boost your steps” or a way to “burn more calories while getting your steps in”. People are changing up their daily walks (even on their treadmill or walking pads) – mixing it up by varying their pace.
