EastEnders’ Oscar Branning makes a move on newcomer Josh Goodwin next week, not realising the new face in town is his jailed girlfriend’s twin brother! There was an instant spark between the boys, but is Oscar asking for trouble by bedding both siblings?
“Since Jasmine got banged up, Oscar has been distracting himself with fleeting passionate encounters,” says our EastEnders insider. “Believing she could be looking at a hefty sentence for murder, Oscar decides to find another romantic distraction – only to take a shine to the worst possible person…”

Fed up with her lovelorn little brother moping around, Lauren encourages Oscar to forget about the doomed Jasmine and find somebody else – preferably one who is not incarcerated.
There’s a flirty vibe between the boys as they circle each other, so Oscar heeds his sister’s words and takes the plunge. Seeing as he’s practically single, Oscar is ready to mingle and has a drink with Josh at The Albert.
Josh also wants to forget his predicament, so doesn’t think to mention that he’s in Walford to reconnect with his birth family. The pair develop an instant bond, and it isn’t long before they are locking lips and heading to the bedroom!
Waking up together the morning after, Josh and Oscar are happy to have had a bit of fun amid all their recent dramas, oblivious to their shocking link. Neither lad regrets the hot hook-up yet, but Josh makes his excuses and heads off.
Doing the walk of shame, he runs straight into adoptive mum Sandra, before being strong-armed into finally meeting his birth mother Zoe.
Swept up in the drama of trying to prove Jasmine’s innocence, Oscar and Josh soon forget about their lusty liaison – but surely it’s only a matter of time before they cross paths again…

“Once Jasmine’s phone is found, all her nearest and dearest will be pulling together to get her out of prison,” predicts our source. “Imagine Oscar’s face when he realises the true identity of his one-night stand! This could get awkward…”
If Jasmine is released, will Oscar have to choose between her and Josh? Or could he end up juggling both of them?
EastEnders airs on Mondays – Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
