EastEnders has lined up a potential, but complicated, new romance for Oscar Branning as he and newcomer Josh Goodwin finally cross paths. Josh arrived on the Square this week with his mother Sandra looking for answers about his twin sister (and Oscar’s ex) Jasmine Fisher.
Tonight (19 March) the pair had a brief but messy encounter, where they both showed a clear attraction to one another.

Earlier in the day, Denise and Kim had encouraged Patrick to write a letter to his grandson, in the hopes it would prompt him to agree to a meeting.
Later Denise and Kim arrived at Sandra’s flat to deliver the letter and some supplies. Sandra ended up sharing a glass of wine with the pair before Josh came in and they got to hand him the letter.
But after Denise and Kim left, Josh fretted about opening the letter and the effect it could have on his relationship with his adoptive mum. However, Sandra assured him things won’t change between them.
Later Josh arrived in Walford having read Patrick’s letter and bumped into Denise and Kim. Much to their delight, Josh said he wants to meet Patrick and they arranged to bring them together later in the week.
But as Josh turned the corner to leave, he ran straight into Oscar, spilling his drink all over him. Josh apologised, but when Oscar got a good look at the stranger he suddenly didn’t seem too annoyed about his banana milkshake anymore.

Spoilers for next week have already revealed that Oscar and Josh will be spending the night together after they meet again in The Albert.
Viewers know that Oscar has been feeling forlorn since Jasmine’s arrest but his attempt to find a new romantic interest will lead him straight to his ex’s twin brother.
While Oscar will be initially oblivious to Josh’s true identity, the truth will come out as Jasmine’s love ones pull together to try and prove her innocence.
