Nicola Walker’s brand-new comedy-drama Alice and Steve, which is coming to streaming on Disney+, has just released an exciting first look. The series has been described as a “must-watch” and “outrageously witty” by the streamer, and will centre on the friends-to-foes relationship between the titular characters of Alice and Steve, played by Walker (Unforgotten) and Jemaine Clement (Flight of the Conchords) respectively.
The synopsis for the six-part series reads: “Alice is devastated when her best friend Steve starts dating her 26-year-old daughter Izzy. She’s going to lose her best friend and her daughter in one fell swoop. Alice tries everything she can to end the relationship. Unfortunately for her, Steve’s more than ready for the attack, and what begins as a perfect friendship, devolves into an all-out feud.”
Alice and Steve has also been described as a “hilarious, messy, and complicated” look at friendship, family, and love, as well as an “anti-romantic comedy”.
