Death in Paradise star Joséphine Jobert’s Canadian crime drama Saint-Pierre will finally be on your screens, as a UK release date has officially been announced.
The series, which aired over a year ago on Canadian television channel CBC, will make its way to the UK on U&Alibi on Thursday 23 April at 8pm.
Saint-Pierre, which has already aired its first two seasons, has been described by fans on IMDb as a “must-watch” show, with the episode titled ‘Kill Lil’ highly praised as one that “hits all the right notes“.

The series follows Newfoundland police officer Donny ‘Fitz’ Fitzpatrick (Jack Ryan’s Allan Hawco) and local Deputy Chief Geneviève ‘Arch’ Archambault (Jobert) as they handle murder cases on the remote French archipelago of Saint-Pierre and Miquelon.
The synopsis details: “After the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Inspector, Donny ‘Fitz’ Fitzpatrick, digs too deeply into a local politician’s nefarious activity, he is exiled to work in Saint-Pierre et Miquelon – the French Territory nestled in the Atlantic Ocean.
“Fitz’s arrival disrupts the life of Deputy Chief Genevieve ‘Arch’ Archambault, a Parisian transplant who is in Saint-Pierre for her own intriguing reasons. As if by fate, these two seasoned officers – with very different policing skills and approaches – are forced together to solve unique and exciting crimes.
“Although the islands seem like a quaint tourist destination, the idyllic facade conceals the worst kind of criminal activity, which tends to wash up on beautiful shores. At first at odds and suspicious of each other, Arch and Fitz soon discover that they are better together.”

Jobert gushed about her character during an interview with chat show The Social CTV. “I love her so much. I’m obsessed with her,” she said.
“When a character already exists on the paper, it’s such a gift. She’s badass, she’s independent, she’s fearless, she’s everything I want to be and I hope she’s going to be a role model for a lot of women because she’s so strong and I adore her.”
She added: “It’s funny to say but she’s helping me everyday in a personal way because being able to play a strong woman like this made me realise that I can be this kind of woman. She changed my life, for the best.”

Jobert was last seen in Death in Paradise in the season 13 finale. The DS Florence Cassell actor returned to the franchise for the then lead detective Ralf Little’s last season.
Little’s detective inspector Neville Parker and Florence exited the season in grand romantic(esq) style as they sailed off on a new adventure together, tentatively exploring their fledgling romantic relationship.
Saint-Pierre will debut on Thursday 23 April at 8pm on U&Alibi.
Death in Paradise and its spin-offs, Beyond Paradise and Return to Paradise, air on BBC One and stream on BBC iPlayer.
