Big Brother has revealed that some former housemates will be returning to reality TV’s most famous abode next week as part of a brand-new twist this season.

On last night’s instalment of Late & Live, hosts Will Best and AJ Odudu teased that some familiar faces will be back, but stopped short of revealing exactly who they are.

“Two former housemates, that may have gone too soon, will go back into the Big Brother house,” Will said. “But that is not all.”

AJ continued: “On Monday, nominations will take place as normal, and the nominated housemates will face the public vote, but what they don’t know is that you at home won’t be voting for an eviction!”

“No, you will be voting to pick one of the nominated housemates to be fake evicted and secretly whisked away to a secret room,” Will said.

“But that’s not all,” AJ added, “They won’t be on their own. They’ll be living with two former housemates.”

Will concluded: “And the three of them will watch all the goings-on in the house before they rejoin them, and they’re gonna have secret tasks. They’re gonna be up to no good! We did say the game is changing, people, and changing it is.”

One of the episode’s panelists David Potts was happy about the news, stating that “this is what Big Brother is all about, baby!” while Bradley Riches was exhausted for how this would mix up the dynamic in the house.

Unfortunately for David, neither former Celebrity Big Brother housemates nor winners (of which he is both) are eligible for going back into the house as part of this twist.

It’s also not confirmed whether the former housemates will be from the two ITV seasons so far or from the earlier Channel 4 or 5 years. If it’s just two former ITV era housemates, there’s a lot less people to pick from.

Could it mean that Yinrun is coming back?
