Bodybuilding legend Dexter Jackson isn’t taking a backstep in retirement. In a recent Instagram post, shared on Nov. 12, 2025, he showed off an arm workout and his latest biceps gains at 55.
Dexter Jackson holds the most Men’s Open professional bodybuilding titles at 29. He reached the pinnacle of his career back in 2008 when he caught Jay Cutler slipping at the Mr. Olympia. In addition to winning the sport’s most prestigious title, Jackson laid claim to the Masters Olympia crown in 2012, solidifying his all-time great résumé.
Like most retired Pros, things begin to slow down after stepping away from the stage lights. However, after watching his former rival, Kevin Levrone, get back in shape, “The Blade” was inspired to do the same. He announced his plan on social media, with hopes of achieving a ripped six-pack once again. Levrone decided to pursue functional training, whereas Jackson seems keen on sticking with bodybuilder-type workouts.

Jackson isn’t the only elite-level Open Bodybuilder dedicated to remaining in tremendous shape. Former four-time Mr. Olympia Jay Cutler has also gone to great lengths to preserve his physique. At 52 years old, Cutler still sports impressive density and conditioning. Though he considered a comeback briefly a few years ago, “The Comeback Kid” seems content with training and running his YouTube empire.

Beyond those mentioned, Dennis Wolf has prioritized his health, fitness, and longevity since retiring. Wolf hasn’t let go of the workout or dieting frameworks that helped him push superstars of the sport, including former eight-time Mr. Olympia kingpin Ronnie Coleman. Fans are constantly blown away by Wolf’s physique, with many noting that he still carries a competitive level of conditioning in his upper body.
It’s never a laid-back training session for Jackson. He’s committed to improvements, and that means leveraging every weapon in his arsenal anytime he hits the gym. His upper body is still a notable strength, having shown off grueling training sessions.
In a sport where longevity is hard to come by, these bodybuilding veterans have it locked down. Jackson hopes to show off those coveted abs on the horizon after being motivated by Levrone’s progress.
