It’s getting juicy on The Traitors. Yesterday, Ellie revealed she’s Ross’s girlfriend – something we guessed after discovering several clues. But the drama doesn’t stop there. Fans are now convinced that Jessie and Jack could be secretly related, and some are even speculating that Fiona, our SecretTraitor, might be Reece’s mum.

On Wednesday night’s episode (7th January), Fiona chose to fight for his place in the competition and Reece made some comments that had many of us raising eyebrows.

From tactical gameplay to wild fan theories, here’s all the clues that Fiona and Reece could know each other and may even be mother and son.

She chose him in the challenge

During the challenge, Fiona chose to fight for Reece’s place in the game, as he was one of the nine players up for murder. She waited strategically, letting almost everyone else make their choice before stepping in. Although she could have chosen between Sam, Reece, and Maz, she went with Reece.

As a Traitor and the former Secret Traitor, Fiona knows everyone’s identity in the game, meaning she could have picked almost anyone. Her decision to choose him has left many raising a little suspicious.

Fiona sabotaged him in the task

Now, this might not seem like the smartest move if Fiona is indeed Reece’s mum, but many fans think she did it knowing she could later save him in the turret. If that’s the case, it wouldn’t matter that he was up for murder, since she could influence the other Traitors to avoid “murdering” him.

One user wrote on X (formerly Twitter): “Thing is though if Fiona WAS Reece’s mum she literally sabotaged him and put him up for murder! But then she is a Traitor she could just choose not to murder him..”

“I literally worship her like she is my mum”

After the challenge, Reece gushed about Fiona saying: “I literally worship her like she is my mum”.

Odd, considering she lost him the challenge, which meant he’d be up for murder. Or could this be him subtly hinting at their secret relationship?

Fiona mentioned her husband’s name, but not her son’s…

One fan pointed out that in a VT, Fiona mentioned her husband’s name but not her son’s – which could suggest she’s withholding that information because he’s in the game with her… and it’s Reece!

Rachel’s comments about his mum being in the game

As early as week one, Rachel suggested there could be a few hidden connections on the show. When asked by Amanda who else she thought might know each other, Rachel joked that Reece isn’t dissimilar to her.

Amanda laughed it off at the time, and while Rachel didn’t mention Fiona’s name, the comment has since added fuel to the theory that Reece could be playing the game alongside a relative.

We’re onto you, Reece and Fiona!

The Traitors airs on BBC One on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
