With not even a week into 2026, wellness tourism is already expanding beyond yoga retreats and luxury resorts, with Under Armour the latest brand to take fitness and recovery offshore.
The activewear company has teamed up with StarCruises for “Fitness @ Sea on board the Star Voyager,” which sets sail Jan. 19–23, offering guests a four-night active-lifestyle cruise that blends workouts and recovery with travel from Port Klang to Phuket and Singapore.
“At its core, Under Armour believes that performance is a mindset, not a place,” Under Armour Malaysia commercial director Samantha Lim said. “The brand exists to push boundaries, challenge convention and inspire people to train differently, move with purpose and unlock their full potential whether in the gym, outdoors or in everyday life. Our partnership with StarCruises exemplifies this mindset, showcasing new ways for guests to train, recharge and experience fitness at sea.”

Guests can choose from a range of complimentary fitness experiences, including Animal Flow, Serenity Pilates, Beast Mode functional training and challenges, with Under Armour bringing a certified trainer onboard to lead fitness programming.
Activities are complimentary and open to all guests, available on a first-come, first-served basis. Those who complete the full series of workouts will receive Under Armour merchandise, while supplies last.
“Fitness @ Sea reflects how cruising continues to evolve beyond traditional vacations,” StarDream Cruises president Michael Goh said. “By collaborating with a global performance brand like Under Armour, we’re creating a fresh and exciting way for guests to stay active, feel energized and still enjoy everything they love about cruising — all in one seamless experience.”
The program is part of Star Voyager’s limited-time deployment from Port Klang, running through Feb. 2, with weekly three-night sailings to Medan and Singapore and four-night itineraries to Phuket and Singapore.
The move comes as more fitness brands experiment with wellness tourism as a growth channel beyond gyms and events.
Global fitness racing brand Hyrox recently unveiled its own fitness cruise under a new “Hyrox Experiences” umbrella, launching an adult-only fitness cruise running from Oct. 21 to 25. Guests on board the ship can participate in five to six training sessions, clinics, panel talks and meet-and-greets with exclusive guests.
Dance fitness leader Zumba is also reviving its Zumba Cruise in 2026, turning a Norwegian Cruise Line ship into a dance and wellness destination.
