Home and Away‘s Ada Nicodemou has opened up about her engagement to co-star James Stewart. The actors, who play on-screen couple Leah Patterson and Justin Morgan, got engaged this Valentine’s Day.
Despite dating for two years, Nicodemou shared that she was “very surprised” when Stewart popped the question during a walk in the park. “I knew it was coming, but didn’t know when,” she told Perth Now.
“We were already going to dinner for Valentine’s Day and Jimmy suggested that we should go for a little walk first, to our favourite spot and have a kiss – and that’s where he surprised me by going down on one knee.

“It was very special,” she recalled.
The star expressed gratitude for being able to live and work with her future husband, explaining that they help each other prepare for scenes. “We can talk out anything we need to talk out as well, do our lines. But we can also forget about it all, and just be with each other. It’s good,” she said.
The couple announced their engagement on Instagram, with Nicodemou posting a video of the heartwarming proposal.
The clip, captioned “I said yes!!!”, saw Stewart down on one knee, presenting the star with a stunning diamond ring. Nicodemou immediately accepted the proposal and the pair shared an emotional kiss as their loved ones cheered in the background.
