Coronation Street’s Adam Barlow faces a nightmare at his law firm next week. As sensitive emails are leaked, the residents of Weatherfield are left raging over the damaging situation.
With Alya Nazir in deep trouble for poaching key clients from her old boss Rich Pemberton, the returning character is out for revenge. So he orchestrates a data breach which has a catastrophic impact on Adam’s livelihood…
“All Adam’s confidential emails are leaked to the public,” our Corrie source explains. “There are private emails about crucial court cases, including Debbie’s – and Ronnie is furious.
“Privacy is crucial in cases like these, so there’s a real danger that no-one will ever trust Adam and Alya again…”

This disastrous email crisis comes straight after Adam snaps up a huge client from Alya’s old firm Fabians.
When Adam later makes a deal with Rich, he assumes they’re in the clear, unaware that Alya’s old boss wants payback for her betrayal.
Following the discovery of the data breach, Adam and Alya face the music with the residents of Weatherfield. Despite their apologies, the email catastrophe can’t be rectified.
And as they contemplate taking on a controversial new case to keep the business afloat, Rich smugly reminds the pair that their reputation is already destroyed.

Viewers have seen Rich return to screens this week, with actor Jamie Cho reprising his role after a two-year absence.
Rich previously appeared for a handful of episodes in April and May 2024, as he convinced Alya to move to Dublin for a work placement. The storyline was written in to explain Sair Khan’s real-life maternity leave.
Jamie’s other credits include appearances in Doctor Who, Bridgerton and Batman Begins.
