American drama The Cleaning Lady is currently trending on Netflix UK after being added to the streaming service. It joined the library on Tuesday, 31 March and is currently sitting at number 3 in the UK Top 10 shows chart, behind XO, Kitty and Love on the Spectrum.
The show follows a former surgeon living in the US on an expired visa, who hopes to get the money together for life-saving medical treatment for her son.
When she witnesses a murder, the mob boss responsible gives her a job as a crime scene cleaner and doctor in his organisation. Can she avoid the law and keep the secret long enough to pay for her son’s operation?

The show ran for 4 seasons on American network Fox between 2022 and 2025, and all four seasons and 46 episodes have been added to Netflix UK.
The show has a respectable average score of 7.0/10 from over 13,000 user ratings on IMDb, with the general consensus being that the earlier seasons are the best, either due to repeating plotlines or the decision to write a certain character as missing when the actor had sadly passed away in real life.
Of those who enjoyed the show, one fan praised the “actual suspense and thrills” and stated that there’s a run of “near perfect episode after episode” in the latter half of season 2.
“A very different idea which is refreshing to watch. Plenty of action happening all through. The time went by fast, then the show’s over”, wrote another, while a particularly enthusiastic fan called it a “superior show” with a plot that is “not predictable” kept them “on the edge of my seat”.

Meanwhile, Netflix and the BBC are working on a sequel series to Peaky Blinders after the recent release of the movie The Immortal Man.
Filming has already begun, and it was recently announced that a major character has been recast.
