Emmerdale’s Paddy Dingle fears for Bear Wolf’s future next week, when he hears that his dad has been moved to solitary confinement.

It turns out that this is a punishment for Bear getting involved in a nasty bust-up with a fellow inmate. This is the last thing he should be doing with his trial for Ray Walters’s murder so close, so Paddy can’t help fearing the worst…
“Paddy fears that Bear could have ruined his chances of being freed,” explains our Emmerdale source. “Things weren’t looking good for Bear in the first place, but now it’s on record that he’s had a physical fight with another prisoner.
“No judge in the land is going to look at that kindly. Now more than ever, Bear’s freedom is hanging by a thread…”
With the awful news playing on his mind, Paddy worries that his dad might never walk out of the gates of Hotten Prison. But is Paddy jumping to the worst conclusion – or simply preparing for the inevitable?

“Bear will need a miracle to avoid a lengthy sentence,” continues our insider. “So it’s only right that Paddy braces himself for that scenario, as much as it pains him to do so.
“At least that way, any glimmer of good news about Bear will come as a welcome surprise.”
Now stuck in solitary confinement, is Bear set to live out his years locked in a cell? And how will poor Paddy deal with his fears for his dad’s future?

Bear’s trial is due to take place at the start of next month. His future has been looking bleak for a while, especially now that DS Walsh has raised the bizarre theory that he could have been Ray Walters’ secret accomplice in the human trafficking operation.
With Moira Dingle now free after the case against her collapsed, the futures of Bear, Paddy and Dylan are the last major unanswered questions. Which way will the case go?
