The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, the prequel series spin-off of The Terminal List, has proven to be a popular hit for Prime Video. When it premiered in August with its first three episodes, it trended in second place on the service’s most-watched list in the UK.

With the season finale having released this week, the show is still trending here, currently sitting as the fourth most-watched show on Prime Video UK (via FlixPatrol).

The Summer I Turned Pretty is still ahead, in third place, while new mini-series The Girlfriend and the return of The Boys spin-off Gen V are in first and second place, respectively.

Collider said: “This is big-budget Dad TV done about as well as humanly possible, nothing more or less.

“The Terminal List: Dark Wolf has no interest in reinventing the wheel or really being particularly innovative beyond its exemplary craftsmanship, and it’s easy to get caught up in admiration for a show that takes this much pride in presenting the kind of old-school action entertainment that feels increasingly rare these days.”

“Dark Wolf’s deadly world of international espionage doesn’t necessarily pack a ton of surprises for anyone with even a moderate degree of spy fiction literacy, but succeeds in spite of its predictability thanks to some truly tier one shootouts, its strong supporting characters, and some banging music choices,” wrote IGN.

They added: “Dark Wolf is a lean, fast-paced action drama that successfully broadens The Terminal List’s universe without being a simple retread of the initial Chris Pratt series.”

JoBlo noted: “The series begins to get preachy about brotherhood, politics, and the perils of war, the dialogue borders on cheesy,” but adds that “the action in The Terminal List: Dark Wolf more than makes up for it with some gnarly violence that keeps the adrenaline pulsing”.

The Terminal List and Dark Wolf are available to stream on Prime Video.
