The wait for Bridgerton’s return to screens shouldn’t last much longer, as Netflix has finally given an indication about a release date for season 4.
The streamer has just confirmed a release window for the Regency drama’s fourth instalment, which is set to focus on Benedict Bridgerton and Sophie Baek – played by Luke Thompson and Yerin Ha, respectively.
Netflix has announced that Bridgerton season 4 will arrive at some point next year, with the platform teasing that the new romance has some surprises in store for fans.

It is currently up in the air as to whether we’ll have a Bridgerton spring or summer, based on previous seasons’ release dates. However, we now know that viewers won’t have to wait too long for their next fix.
The show’s third season was released in two parts in 2024, and centred on the friends-to-lovers arc of Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton).
With the upcoming season, Bridgerton reaches its mid-point, according to what executive producer Shonda Rhimes teased last month.

Speaking at the Edinburgh TV Festival in August, Rhimes explained how many seasons the beloved period drama was expected to run for.
She said she planned to make “exactly eight” seasons in total (via The Independent).
“The Bridgerton series is eight children. Violet Bridgerton and all eight of her children married. So every season is a child,” Rhimes said. However, she added that there was “a possibility for spin-offs”.
The show is based on a series of books by author Julia Quinn. The novels follow the Bridgerton siblings and their widowed mother, Violet, as they navigate London’s society and marriage market in the Regency era, conventionally extending from 1811 to 1820.
Bridgerton seasons 1-3 are streaming on Netflix, along with Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.
