Big Brother’s four newbies picked a second housemate to give the Evil Eye to tonight and shared their regret over their first nomination.

This season started with an immediate elimination and continued with a quartet — Cameron B, Feyisola, George and Richard — being introduced on day 2.

Upon their arrival, the four housemates were told they’d have to give out two Evil Eyes, which would make whoever was chosen vulnerable for elimination.

After giving their first Evil Eye to fan-favourite Zelah Glasson, the four newbies used a different approach for their second vote.

In tonight’s episode, Richard announced he and the other three new housemates would meet with all the others in the Snug.

In four-on-one chats, the quartet asked each housemate who they would want to stay and eliminate, and then used that intel to make a decision.

Cameron K received the most votes, but he was also one of the contestants who was mentioned the most among those who deserved to stay.

After a discussion, the quartet landed on two names — Cameron B and Richard wanted to nominate Gani, while George and Feyisola picked Elsa.

However, there was just one Evil Eye to give. The four newcomers were summoned to the Diary Room, where they attempted to change last night’s decision.

Richard admitted they’d made “a mistake” by choosing Zelah the previous night.

They tried to save Zelah and nominate Gani and Elsa instead, but Big Brother reminded them that their first Evil Eye nomination was final.

“I think it’s a loss for the house either way,” Feyisola said of whoever would be joining Zelah as the next housemate up for eviction.

Feyisola then had to announce their decision to the group, saying they’d picked Gani. When Big Brother asked her to explain their reasoning to nominate Gani, Feyisola walked out of the living room, holding back tears.

George rushed to comfort her, acknowledging the difficult task they’d been given.

They both rejoined the group, with Feyisola saying: “We’ve not done this lightly but we had to make a decision.”

George said they “took feedback” from the housemates and Gani’s “singing and dancing” was “not everyone’s cup of tea”.

Richard added that he sometimes felt Gani’s performances were “for the benefit of the cameras”.

“Singing and dancing, this is my nature,” Gani replied. “I can’t act 24/7 .”

Gani and Zelah are now both up for elimination, with the public called to vote to save one of them before the eviction show this Friday.

Big Brother airs at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
