If you’ve been meaning to add more movement to your fall routine, this is your sign. The Vancouver pilates scene is booming.
After combing through Reddit threads where locals raved about their favourite studios, we rounded up some of Vancouver’s most-loved pilates spots, from heated Lagree sessions to candlelit mat classes.
For those who crave a pilates experience that’s as grounding as it is strengthening, Jaybird blends reformer and mat classes with music, mood lighting, and breathwork for a “full mind-body reset” according to the website.
The studio operates in infrared-heated, mirror-free rooms with low lighting and loud music, which it says helps participants “disconnect from distraction” and “shift focus to feeling good in their own skin,” reads the website.
The infrared environment “heats your body from the inside out,” which the studio claims can boost the immune system, purify skin, and aid in muscle recovery.
Pricing: Drop-ins start at $32 for mat and $42 for reformer classes. Memberships range from $108 per month for 4 classes to $420 per month for one class per day, with a 60-day commitment. Class packs (5, 10, and 20 classes) are also available.
