Peloton is continuing to expand beyond traditional fitness, this time through the acquisition of Breathwrk, a wellness app specializing in guided breathing exercises.
The information was included in Peloton’s wave of announcements earlier this week regarding their hardware device upgrade, introduction of Peloton IQ, and subscription price increase.
The press release states:
Peloton has acquired Breathwrk, a pioneering wellness app specializing in breathing exercises. There is strong evidence for the benefits of breathwork in reducing stress, anxiety, and depression, and improving mood, focus, relaxation, and sleep. All-Access and App+ Members can now access Breathwrk’s app as part of their Peloton subscription using their Peloton login credentials, with deeper integrations coming soon.
Breathwrk is known for its breathing techniques designed to reduce stress and anxiety, improve sleep, sharpen focus, and support relaxation.
Now, Peloton All-Access, Guide, and App+ Members can access the Breathwrk app at no additional cost simply by logging in with their Peloton credentials – no extra subscription required. Note that App One members do not currently gain access with their membership.
When signing into Breathwrk, Peloton members are prompted to verify their accounts, which unlocks free access to the app’s library of exercises and guided sessions. Existing Breathwrk subscriptions will remain available for anyone outside the Peloton ecosystem, but Peloton users with eligible memberships have the platform’s benefits included.

The integration goes a step further than solely access: any workouts completed in Breathwrk now sync directly with the Peloton App. This allows breathing sessions to count toward members’ streaks, challenges, and overall workout history. This also means that Breathwrk content can likely contribute to Club Peloton, Peloton’s new loyalty and reward system.
On Breathwrk’s own site, a banner now reads:
Breathwrk is now part of Peloton. We’re thrilled to join Peloton and bring breathwork to more people worldwide. Thank you for your support, we couldn’t have done it without you.
The app will remain available across the United States, Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Australia, and the European Union.
Peloton has emphasized that this move is part of its long-term strategy to serve members in all aspects of their wellness journeys. We previously shared that more of this focus was on the way, with Peloton indicating that they will move further in the direction of “healthspan” and wellness.

For step-by-step instructions on how to connect a Peloton account with Breathwrk, members can visit Peloton’s dedicated support page. Once linked, members can download the app, complete their first breathing session, and immediately see it reflected within their Peloton profile.
After more than a decade of building trust with its members, Peloton believes it has earned the foundation to expand into new areas of wellbeing beyond fitness.
