Meanwhile, Dylan Penders and April Windsor are drawn in deeper by scheming Ray Walters. There’s also more trouble at Home Farm, as Dawn Fletcher clashes with Nicola King.

1. Cain makes a troubling return
ITV
Cain returns from his trip to France, where he’s been searching for John. The mission clearly hasn’t gone well, as Cain seems to be on a self-destructive path as he drinks heavily.
Moira reminds Cain that he needs to focus on his responsibilities to his family, especially with the anniversary of Zak’s death coming up, but he doesn’t appear to be listening.
2. Sam and Belle are left on tenterhooks

Sam and Belle visit Zak’s grave together, curious to see whether Cain turns up to mourn with them.
The siblings are united in their grief, but will Cain abandon them when they should all be pulling together?
3. Dylan’s news is music to Ray’s ears
ITV
When Paddy congratulates Dylan for passing his driving test, Ray overhears their chat. He swoops in and reminds Dylan that he paid a considerable amount for the teen’s lessons, which he’s adding to his existing debt.
Dylan is told to ask about becoming a driver at the depot, which will increase his responsibilities… and make it much easier for him to transport Ray’s drugs around the country.
4. Celia gets even tougher with Ray
ITV
Ray consults with Celia about his new business plan, promising an even more efficient operation now that Dylan can drive for them.
Celia is pleased, but insists that April needs to be much more involved too.
5. Dylan’s plans suffer a setback
ITV
Jai agrees that Dylan can take on a trial assignment driving to Hull. Ray gets across the details and instructs Dylan to carry out a drug delivery when he goes.
Dylan agrees, but worries when Jai later announces a change of plan. Under the new arrangement, Billy will be driving on the job and Dylan will only be accompanying him. Dylan panics, wondering how he’ll carry out the delivery now.
6. April resorts to stealing

Ray warns April that he’ll sell her debt to someone else unless she agrees to take a work trip to Liverpool.
Still hoping that she can settle the debt and avoid the trip altogether, April tries to steal from Rhona and Mary – just as Rhona walks in…
7. April faces a terrifying experience
ITV
When April tells Ray that she’ll take the Liverpool job after all, he insists that it’s already been assigned to someone else. He gives her another task, which involves handing over cocaine to a “valuable client” called Tim in a hotel and having a drink with him.
April heads off to meet Tim as instructed, but is horrified when she ends up trapped in a hotel room with him.
8. Tensions grow between Nicola and Dawn
ITV
The King and Tate families are at war, after Carl was accused of sending an indecent image of Clemmie. Carl admits what he did and although Nicola insists that her son has learned his lesson, the police take the incident seriously.
Dawn tries to resolve the situation by talking to Nicola mother-to-mother, but Nicola becomes defensive and the situation turns into another argument.
9. Laurel and Joe wade in

Laurel, who’s witness to the dramas as the Kings are currently living with her, also gets involved and makes an unexpected admission to Nicola.
Meanwhile, Joe has a suggestion for Dawn’s next move, but it leaves her in turmoil.
10. Dawn opens up over the past
ITV
The incident with Clemmie is triggering for Dawn as she’s reminded of her traumatic past. She decides to confide in Joe about what her life was like before she moved to the village, including how she was coerced into sex work and drug addiction.
Dawn also reflects on how she first met Clemmie’s mum and how determined she is to protect the youngster – even online.
11. Victoria piles pressure on Robert
ITV
Robert agrees to stay with Aaron for moral support as he spends his first night back in the flat since the incident with John. While things are looking good for the former couple, Victoria reminds Robert that he needs to be honest with Aaron about Kev.
Later in the week, Robert pays a visit to Kev in prison and hears some big news.
12. Liam receives his test results
ITV
Liam announces that his prostate results have come in.
He decides to open them with Chas by his side.
