XChange Fitness formerly operated from The Exchange in Queen Street but was forced to leave when plans to turn the space into five studio properties and a one-bedroom flat were approved in April.
The gym has now secured a new premises less than half-a-mile away in Bridge Street at the rear of The Maltings, which is now open to customers.

There has also been a rebrand following the move, with the gym now called Hustl Hitchin.
Jacob Wood of S.R. Wood & Son, who completed the letting on behalf of the landlord, said: “Fitness is such a major part of many peoples lives now. I have no doubt that Hustl will do well in their new premises. It’s such a unique space to train in.
“He may not remember, but Cassius, who heads up Hustl, gave me an induction session the very first time I stepped foot in a gym – some 10 years ago.”
