I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here fans were divided online during Sunday’s episode, as they got acquainted with this year’s contestants. With some stars becoming fast favourites and others being given the cold shoulder, will the celebrities be able to gain favour with the public before they fall victim to the dreaded Bushtucker Trials?
The new series of the hit ITV show kicked off on Sunday night with a host of famous faces ready to brave the Australian jungle. Among the cast were rapper Aitch, former footballer Alex Scott, Jack Osbourne, and soap stars Lisa Riley and Shona McGarty.
As always, the celebs were split into groups where each faced their own hellish challenges in order to win a coveted seat in the Getaway car. But if they thought wading through slime and being attacked by bugs was bad, they might not want to take a peek at Twitter/X.
One celebrity who certainly started a conversation online was comedian Ruby Wax, whose encounter with content creator Angryginge left some fans fuming. As the celebrities introduced themselves to each other, Ruby chastised Angryginge for blocking the light from reaching her.
“Ruby already insulted his bar now she is moaning that ginge is standing in her light, not a fan,” wrote one viewer, while another said: “Oh no, I am really not liking Ruby Wax. That’s so rude to shove him out of the way.”

“Not being funny but why’s this american woman the rudest person ever,” added a third, with a fourth echoing: “Oh god… can already tell Ruby Wax is gonna get on everyone’s nerves.”
However, not all viewers were annoyed by the interaction and, in fact, praised Ruby for her wit, branding her a “comedy goddess”.
“Love Ruby Wax! The young ones wont get her at all! And will be offended by everything she says. She’s wickedly funny and made a successful career out of it. Legend,” said one.
Meanwhile, some fans were simply hoping for drama on the show and were pleased to scout out an early contender, comparing Ruby to 2015 contestant Lady Colin Campbell.
“Praying Ruby Wax goes full villain this year. We need another Lady C type,” said a fan, with another agreeing: “Ruby wax doing my head in already. The new Lady C.”

Angryginge, meanwhile, is already a fan favourite. One viewer wrote on X: “Won’t stand for any hate against Angry Ginge, nope, nuh uh, no way.” While a second added: “Angryginge must win I’m a celeb.”
A third fan wrote: “Aitch & AngryGinge this series going to be pure entertainment.”
Ultimately, Ruby was announced as the first person to take on the Bushtucker trial in tonight’s episode. And in a hilarious turn of events, Ruby will be joined by Angryginge, whose overwhelming support online didn’t seem to shield him from the dreaded challenge.
Will the public’s allegiance change as the series continues?
