Emmerdale’s Robert Sugden and Aaron Dingle have been left fearing for their lives after tonight’s episode (Wednesday 24 December). As Kev Townsend continued to taunt his estranged husband, Robert, and his partner, Aaron, from a distance, the convicted criminal decided to up the ante, resulting in a sinister delivery.
Kev, who began his reign of terror by damaging Aaron’s car and setting the trees outside his home on fire on Tuesday (23 December), has become increasingly volatile.
With his behaviour escalating, Kev kicked off Wednesday’s episode by firing gunshots at Robert and Aaron – first outside the Mill flat, and then out on the farm.
Further into the instalment, before the credits could roll, the character revealed the lengths that he was willing to go to in order to hurt the couple. As Robert and Aaron received wedding rings through the post along with a bullet, the couple were understandably disturbed.
Kev will resurface in the village on Thursday, 25 December. Chris Coghill, who portrays Kev, has previously described his character as “unhinged” and as someone with “psychopathic tendencies”.

“He’s an incredibly dangerous person. Kev wouldn’t have any qualms about physically attacking anybody, apart from possibly Robert… People thought, here’s another baddie – but he isn’t. He’s a criminal, and he’s got psychopathic tendencies,” the actor said.
While it’s unknown how Kev’s storyline will play out on Christmas Day, Emmerdale has hinted that Robert could be in trouble.
