THE ribbon has been cut on a new boxing gym in Lichfield.
Cllr Claire Pinder-Smith, Mayor of Lichfield, officially opened Sweatbox at Boley Park.
Located on the top floor of Lichfield Health and Fitness Club, the facility will provide boxing classes and one to one sessions for all ages and abilities.
Owner Arnold Obodai said:
“We all recognise the benefits of fitness for physical health, but boxing has also been shown to support mental wellbeing, tone and exercise the entire body.
“It also offers a chance to build a community, making it one of the best fitness options.
“I’m pleased to be able to share my experience and skills as a professional boxer with the people of Lichfield through a variety of classes, which I hope will ultimately lead to the city’s first amateur boxing club.”
