“It happened on their walk to school so around 8.15am.”
Police said the pupil was in a stable condition.
“An intermediate-aged child suffered moderate injuries and was taken to hospital in a stable condition.”
McCracken said the school was yet to receive an update from the hospital and was going about “business as normal”.
The Auckland school, which teaches Year 7 – 13 students, is located on Stanmore Bay Road on the Hibiscus Coast, adjacent to Whangaparāoa Rd.
