Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Next week on Coronation Street, a special flashforward episode teases a shocking murder that takes place later in the year. Meanwhile, Ronnie is stunned when Carl reveals that Debbie is his mum, while Sam steps up his plan to expose the truth about Megan and Will’s relationship.

1. A murder takes place

Betsy is questioned by the police following the discovery of a dead body. When the detective restarts the recording, it is revealed that the interview is taking place in April and the episode is a flashforward.
The special episode alternates between real time and the day of the murder.
By the end of the episode, five potential victims are revealed. Who will be murdered and who is responsible?
2. Carl drops a bombshell on Ronnie

Carl enlists the help of his friend Jez and talks him through his plot for a fire at the Chariot Square Hotel.
Jez pays a visit to the hotel and makes out to Ronnie that he’s a handyman. With Ronnie’s back turned, Jez secretly photographs the fire exits and cameras.
Later, Ronnie takes a picture of Jez on his phone and warns him that Carl is bad news.
Ronnie confronts Carl and insists he is up to no good. Ronnie is floored when Carl reveals Debbie is his mother.
3. Debbie makes an enemy in prison

Debbie misnames Lou and is forced to explain that she has early-onset dementia.
When fellow inmate Paula recognises Debbie, Lou explains that she’s bad news. Paula reminds Debbie that she once barred her from the hotel and is still harbouring a grudge.
Later, Paula gets emotional and explains to Debbie that her boyfriend has dumped her. Debbie tries to comfort her, but will Paula accept the gesture?
4. Ronnie loses his temper

Ronnie and Kevin visit Debbie in prison and question her about Carl’s revelation. Debbie confirms that Carl is telling the truth and she’s his mum. Ronnie finds Carl and sees red…
After the incident, Carl tells Kit that he wants to report Ronnie for assault.
5. Carl visits Debbie
ITV
Debbie is surprised when the prison guard informs her that Carl has booked a visit.
During the visit, Debbie promises Carl that when she’s released, she’ll do everything she can to make it up to him. How will Carl react?
6. Sam secures more evidence 
ITV
Sam tells Daniel that while Leanne is away, he intends to use the flat to revise. Unaware of Sam’s plan, Megan informs Will that they’ll have the flat to themselves.
Will lies to Ben that he’s been invited to stay over at a friend’s house, but Ben refuses to let him go. Ben has a change of heart when he witnesses Will accept an apology from Daniel and decides to let him go after all.
Sam watches on as Megan buzzes Will into the flat.
7. Sam puts his plan into action
ITV
Sam lets himself into the flat and startles Megan. When she’s gone, Sam clears some space on the shelf…
Megan tells Will about Sam’s sudden arrival. She suggests that they find a way to get him on side, and Will comes up with a plan.
8. Will is questioned by Sam
ITV
Will offers Sam vodka and invites him to hang out. Sam accepts, intending to use the opportunity to grill Will for more information.
Will tries to convince Sam that his relationship with Megan is purely professional, but Sam isn’t buying it. When Daniel interrupts the pair, Will does a runner leaving Sam to take the blame.
Later, Sam logs into his hidden camera app and sees Megan and Will enter the flat.
9. Megan threatens Sam

Sam receives his phone back from Nick but is annoyed to discover that the battery is flat.
Meanwhile, Eva invites Toyah, Leanne and Megan for a girls’ night. Leanne wastes no time in teasing Megan about using the flat as a love nest for her and Daniel.
Megan confronts Sam and warns that if he tells anyone, no one will believe him.
With his phone recharged, Sam watches the hidden camera video but what will he find?
10. David upsets Lily
ITV
At David’s request, Brian gives Lily a job as a paper girl. While Lily is initially excited, her mood takes a turn when David admits he’ll be glad to get her out of his hair in the morning.
Disheartened after David’s comments, Lily dumps the newspapers in the bin.
Meanwhile, Hope retrieves the papers and returns them to Rita. Hope’s attempts to secure Rita’s help in obtaining her Duke of Edinburgh badge backfire when she makes a crack about Rita’s age.
11. Jodie plays Hope against Brian
ITV
Jodie brings Lily to the Kabin to apologise to Brian. It’s clear that Lily isn’t sorry at all and Brian refuses to give her the job back.
Jodie tells Hope about Brian and Rita’s treatment of Lily. When Hope defends them, Jodie plants the idea Brian and Rita are only nice to her face.
Afterwards, Hope listens as Brian and Rita discuss her troubled past.
12. Mal shocks Bernie with an invitation

Mal shows Brian some crystals he’s bought but Bernie is convinced it’s just an attempt to impress her. Bernie snaps at Jodie, who immediately clocks that Mal is the reason for Bernie’s temper.
Meanwhile, Mal questions Chesney about Bernie’s favourite crystal.
Bernie receives a shock when Mal suggests they head to the flat for some alone time.
13. Maggie meddles with Lauren and Ollie
ITV
Maggie reveals to Ben and Eva that she deliberately placed Lauren on the rota to ruin her date with Ollie.
When Maggie catches Lauren flirting with Ollie, she orders Lauren to focus on her job.
14. David catches Jodie and Carl
ITV
David arrives home to find Jodie and Carl together.
David orders Carl out of the house immediately but Jodie is secretly pleased to have David’s attention.
15. Tim is jealous
ITV
Tim’s nose is put out of joint when he arrives at the Rovers and discovers Steve hanging out with Ben.
When Steve steps away, Tim reminds Ben that he is Steve’s best friend.
