Coronation Street’s Carl Webster makes yet another cruel move next week, as he tries to land Ronnie Bailey in big trouble with the police. Will his sly tactics pay off?
Tensions reach boiling point between the two men in upcoming scenes, prompting Carl to warn Ronnie that Debbie will always put him first – because she’s his mum. Ronnie then heads to the prison to seek answers from Debbie, who confirms Carl’s revelation over the secret she’s been keeping for decades.
Even after this, Ronnie and Carl can’t manage to get along – leading to fisticuffs.
After Carl is left sporting a nasty black eye, he tells local detective Kit Green that he wants Ronnie arrested for assault. Will Kit be forced to place Ronnie under arrest?

Meanwhile, Debbie is surprised when the prison guard informs her that her ‘brother’ Carl is planning to visit.
The last time they saw each other, Carl told Debbie to rot in jail after deducing that his adoptive mum Elaine didn’t really love him because he wasn’t her biological child.
However, Carl may have come to regret his words after Debbie was sent down and later collapsed in prison. Has he had a change of heart about the way things were left with Debbie? Or is his visit designed to stir up even more trouble?

“Debbie’s so pleased to see Carl – all she wants to do is make up for all the years that she couldn’t be a proper mum to him,” explains our Corrie source.
“She promises him that, when she gets out of jail, she’s going to do everything she can to put things right. But will Carl be open to rebuilding their relationship?”
With Ronnie facing an assault charge and Carl seemingly set on destroying his mother’s livelihood, what hell awaits Debbie back on the Street if she ever gets out the nick?
