Coronation Street’s Todd Grimshaw will be pushed to his breaking point next week, as Theo Silverton continues to stir up drama. When his birthday doesn’t go to plan, the villain decides to publicly shame his fiancé, resulting in another nasty argument.
But as the cracks in their relationship become clearer than ever, could Theo’s abuse be uncovered soon?
In Monday’s episode, Todd and Summer Spellman make a fuss of Theo as he celebrates his special day. But the scaffolder doesn’t bother to hide his disappointment while he unwraps his presents.
In the Bistro, Theo invites Gary Windass and Maria Connor to join his birthday lunch as Todd is running late at work. When he finally arrives, furious Theo hands him the bill, and Todd is forced to admit he doesn’t have enough money.

The humiliation continues back at home as Theo accuses Todd of ruining his birthday and demands a bottle of wine. Todd’s attempt to calm the situation fails, resulting in a huge fight and broken crockery.
The following morning, Gary sees Theo sleeping in his van, and the scaffolder claims he and Todd had an argument about their money troubles. Gary agrees to pick up some clothes for him at the flat until things cool down.

When Gary arrives, he sees a frustrated Todd throwing a blender across the room, after struggling to make it work. Todd confesses that he wants to patch things up with Theo, so Gary calls him over to talk.
“Todd gets some much-needed time away from Theo after their latest violent row,” our Corrie source explains.
“By this point, though, he’s so affected by Theo’s control that he has mixed feelings about seeing him leave. Theo is sure to have bigger plans for Todd, but how long will he stay away?”

The next day, anxious Todd watches the door, worried Theo might return home at any moment. He decides to drown his sorrows with his friends at The Rovers.
When Theo enters the pub, Todd is overcome with emotion and leaves. But Theo quickly follows him, asking to talk.
Later, James Bailey guides a drunken Todd home, unaware that the villain is watching them from the shadows. Does he have another sinister plan up his sleeve?
