Do you have a unique skill that no one else has? At Guinness World Records, we love celebrating the amazing things that the human body is capable of. From incredible feats of strength to mind-bending flexibility, record holders continue to defy the odds and push the limits of what seems humanly possible. But this particular record is definitely a unique one…
On 29 August 2025, Merle Loosen (Germany) broke the Guinness World Records title for most bounce forward-somersaults with an exercise ball in one minute. Merle managed to complete an incredible 41 forward-somersaults, but how did she not get dizzy?!
Merle completed her record-breaking attempt on the set of Guinness World Records – Die große Show der Weltrekorde, in Munich, Germany. In the video, you can see her with an exercise ball taped around her stomach, repeatedly launching herself on top of it to complete each somersault. The setup makes the record even more difficult to break as it requires a combination of perfect timing, balance, and strength to keep the movement flowing smoothly and uninterrupted.
At the end of the video, you can see Merle being presented with her official GWR certificate and medal for her amazing achievement.
