Coronation Street’s newest villain Jodie Ramsey chooses her next victim in upcoming scenes, as she starts to manipulate Bethany Platt.
Shona’s scheming sister offers a shoulder to cry on when Bethany is left heartbroken, but is she responsible for causing the problem in the first place? It’s certainly possible, after all the trouble we’ve seen her secretly provoke so far…

“Nobody is safe from Jodie’s games – every move that she makes seems calculated and she revels in causing mayhem,” warns our Corrie spy. “Could Bethany be next in line?”
The week begins with Bethany excitedly confiding in Jodie that she’s arranged a date with Ethan, a handsome guy who she’s met online.
By the next day, though, Bethany admits to Jodie that the potential romance has turned sour. Turns out that Ethan mysteriously stood her up – and then bizarrely accused her of being the one who cancelled the date…
“Jodie feigns sympathy for Bethany, but the harsh truth is that she doesn’t feel sorry for her at all,” confirms our source. “Given her recent history of sly sabotage, was she even responsible for causing the strange mix-up?”
Later in the week, Bethany grows suspicious of Jodie again, struggling to shake the feeling that something isn’t right.

She takes a particular interest in Jodie’s sudden move into childminding for some of the local residents. This week’s scenes see her offer to help Carla Connor and Lisa Swain with baby Connie, but Bethany questions David about whether anyone has run any background checks.
Forcing a smile, Bethany invites Jodie out for a drink, hoping the deceitful newcomer will finally slip up…
“The catch-up doesn’t go as planned, as Jodie leaps in to defend Bethany when bitter ex-boyfriend Daniel has a pop at her,” reveals our source. “Bethany is quickly won over and immediately warms to her – she won’t win any prizes for her detective work at this rate…”
